Patrick Archer

Patrick J. "Pat" Archer, age 56, of West, passed away early Friday morning, October 25, 2013 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pat was born March 12, 1957 in Roscrea, Ireland, the son of Edward Rudolph and Anna (McMorrough) Archer. He attended St. Mary's School and was a 1975 graduate of West High School. Pat worked for many years with his father at the Texaco Service Station in West until he joined the Navy. He served overseas with the United States Navy on the USS Koelsch (FF-1049). He also worked in maintenance for TSTC in Waco for ten years. Pat loved building model airplanes and trains. He was an avid Baylor Fan and enjoyed watching football and all other sporting events. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 4819 of West. Pat is preceded in death by his sister, Chris Archer. Survivors include his parents, Edward R. and Anna Archer of West; a niece, Krystal Archer-Goodman and husband Jeremy of West; a nephew, Brandon Whitman of West; great niece and nephew, Jacob his dog, Chloe; and many cousins, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Brandon Whitman, Gerald Glatter, Terry Allen, Thomas Wolf, Donnie Glatter, and James Roberts. Honorary pallbearer will be Jacob Goodman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends and Waco Humane Society.
