Patricia Rydel

Patricia A. "Pat" Rydel, age 91, of West, passed away early Monday morning, October 24, 2022 at West Rest Haven.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Michael Nemec officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Pat was born February 4, 1931 in Brenham, the daughter of the late Erwin and Evelyn (Schilling) Luckemeyer. She was a 1948 graduate of San Marcos High School. On May 12, 1951 she was united in marriage to Henry "Cob" Rydel in San Marcos. Cob preceded her in death on January 18, 2018. She was a member of Christ Luthern Church in Hillsboro. Pat was a Registered Nurse working for Drs. Gidney and Pierce in West for many years. She enjoyed dancing, playing bridge with her friends, and going to the horse races in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Survivors include her children, Denise Gerik and husband Jerry of Aquilla, and Michael Rydel and wife Laurie of Bolivia, North Carolina; a brother, Wayne Luckemeyer and wife Sharon; her grandchildren, Anne Pustejovsky and husband Cory, Joshua Gerik and wife Tara, Alicia Rydel, Tyler Rydel and wife Kayla, and Trey Rydel; great- grandchildren, Camille, Ava, and Luke Pustejovsky, and Allison and Laura Gerik; nieces, Keri Lynn Michalski and Tami Luckemeyer; and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Joshua Gerik, Trey Rydel, Tyler Rydel, Cory Pustejovsky, Louie Webre, and Luke Pustejovsky.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
