Patricia Jane Karlik, age 78, of West, passed away late Sunday afternoon, May 26, 2024 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Ross.
Memorial Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Ronnie Sykora officiating..
Patricia was born April 7, 1946 in Penelope, the daughter of the late Wesley and Mary (Hennig) Kocian. She was a 1965 graduate of Penelope High School. On October 5, 1975 she was united in marriage to Jerry E. Karlik in Penelope. Patricia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She worked for Texas Home Health for years. Patricia enjoyed fishing, going to the deer lease, camping at the lake, taking trips to the coast, watching the annual Westfest parade, shopping on the weekends, garage sale hopping, reading, and collecting recipes. She and Jerry would take frequent rides in the country looking at how much Penelope has changed over the years. She loved tending to her animals, especially the puppies, Toby, Tina, Dottie, and Lexie. Patricia was known for keeping up with how everyone was doing, She loved to spend time with her family and cherished her beloved grandchildren Nate and Basiley, celebrating the holidays with them and attending all their events .
Survivors include her beloved husband of 49 years, Jerry Karlik of West; her children, Melissa Washington and husband Jim of Ross, Karen Ann Karlik of China Spring, and Billy Karlik of West; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Ryan Fleming Jr. and Basiley Nichole Blanco; a sister, Cheryl Janek and husband Benny of Penelope; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
