Olive Ihlenfeldt, age 88, of West passed away early Monday morning, July 16, 2007 at West Rest Haven. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jody Gousset officiating. Burial will follow at Closner Cemetery near West. Mrs. Ihlenfeldt will lie-in-state from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Olive was born April 12, 1919 near Glen Rose, the daughter of Leander Madell and Mary Ann (Baker) Morris. She attended schools in Kopperl and was a graduate of Kopperl High School, before attended Texas Women's University. On May 31, 1939 she was united in marriage to Ernest E. Ihlenfeldt in Aquilla. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1997. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. Olive was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Elm Mott and enjoyed attended Sunday school for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club and a 4-H leader when her daughter was growing up. Olive enjoyed cooking for family and neighbors in need and she especially loved spending time with family and friends. Her parents; a brother, Gifford Morris; and two sisters, Fay Ihlenfeldt and Hazel Hilliard; also preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Crews and husband Herman of Lacy Lakeview; two sons, Terry Ihlenfeldt of Lacy Lakeview and Larry Ihlenfeldt and wife Debbie of Chalk Bluff; a sister, Elvice Clements of West; three grandchildren, Mark Crews, Sally Ihlenfeldt, and Michael Ihlenfeldt; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Pallbearers are Randy Coe, Darrell Coe, Darrin Coe, Steve Ihlenfeldt, Trey Courtney, and Bill Pendleton.
