Novelene Thrower

Novelene (Brandon) Thrower, age 93 of West, formerly of Amarillo, passed away Friday afternoon, December 9, 2005 at West Rest Haven in West. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Lacy Williams, Rev. Greg Way, and Rev. Todd Ewing officiating. Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo at a later date. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thrower was born November 8, 1912 in Waco, the daughter of King David (Horace Dave) and Mary Alma (Peltz) Brandon. She attended schools in Ben Hur and Quitatue and on August 22, 1927 she was united in marriage to Delbert Thomas Thrower. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1965. Novelene worked as a Naturoilpathic Physician and licensed chiropractor, she also worked in the laundry and dry goods business. Novelene especially loved being with family. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Moose Lodge in Amarillo and a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church in Lacy Lakeview. Her parents; three brothers, Eugene Elmo Brandon, Mack Brandon, and Harrell Jack Brandon; two sisters, Lucile Jago and Rachel Simmons; infant twins, and her grandson, Kelly Thrower, also preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Ray Thrower and wife Frankie of Waco; her sister, Betty Lou Schedenhelm and husband Roy of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Brandon; two grandchildren, Eric Brandon Thrower of Phoenix, AZ and Glen Scott of Little Rock, AR; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Thrower and Kristi Griffiths; a great-great grandson, Noah Griffiths; six step-grandchildren, Rita Broome, Bobby Baldwin, Cynthia Redd, Angela Sanders, Jennifer Caddell, and Marco Ramicone; fourteen step great grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorials may be made to Leroy Church of the charity of your choice. Pallbearers are Terry Broome, Chris Wilson, Tomas Cardoza, Robert Ming, Hayden Mood, Roy Shedenhelm, and Johnny Sanders.
