Nita Young, age 80, of West, passed away early Friday morning, November 8, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. James Adams officiating. Private interment will take place at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Nita was born July 20, 1933 in Clifton, the daughter of William H. and Willie Mae (Pilant) Andrews. She attended schools in Clifton and was a 1950 graduate of LaVega High School. Nita was a teller for West Bank and Trust, now Pointwest Bank for over 27 years, before retiring in 1998. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbott. Nita enjoyed painting, Bible Study Fellowship and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Nita is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gene Andrews. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Priddy and husband Carl of West, Elaine Adams and husband James of San Angelo, and Lori Cimber and husband Russ of Seattle, WA; a son, Tim Young of West; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Brenda, LeAnna, Joey, Mandie and husband Jerry, Matt and wife BreAnna, Emily, Adam, Rachel and Austin and wife Lauren; great grandchildren, Dora, Nita, Brayden, Evan, Addison, Spencer, Lance, Lexi and Summer; and a niece, Maxine Palmer; a nephew, Jerry Andrews; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Abbott Baptist Church.
