Nicholas Wayne "Nick" Muska, age 16, of West, died late Tuesday night, June 7, 2005 in Waco from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:15 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev. Vincent Chacko, IMS as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Nick was born August 21, 1988 in Waco, the first child to Tommy and Lisa (Swafford) Muska. He attended West schools and just completed his sophomore year at West High School. At a very early age Nick showed great athletic ability, playing baseball in the West leagues. He also played basketball and ran cross country. Nick was a member of the Spanish Club, Jr. Historians, Debate Team, KJT #31, and KJZT. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Survivors include his parents, Tommy and Lisa Muska; his little sister, Clair Marie Muska; his paternal grandfather, Adolph J. Muska and his wife Carolyn all of West; several aunts, Sharon Bohne of Whitney, Terri Gallegos of Virginia Beach, VA, and Denise Muska of West; and several cousins, many classmates, friends, and other relatives. Active pallbearers are Colt Kapavik, Wesley James, Aaron Kolar, Jade Crain, Brian Muska, Dean Muska, Sammy Sykora, Bill Wolf, Marty Marak, and Robert Payne. Honorary pallbearers are the Class of 2007. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Center.
