Nicholas Moore

Nicholas "Nick" Moore, age 68, of Waco, passed away late Monday evening, April 28, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with the Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Nick was born November 19, 1945 in West, the son of James Buford and Mary Christine (Pibil) Moore. He attended school in West and was a graduate of West High School. He served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. While serving Nick received many honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, and the Vietnam Service and Campaign Medal. He worked for Packless Industries and Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Waco for several years. Nick was a very sweet fun loving person who had a great personality and befriended people very easily. Nick is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Frank and Marie Pibil. Survivors include his stepdaughter, Marcie Reed and husband Dwayne of Axtell; a granddaughter, Kathryn Reed of Axtell; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Rest Haven Disaster Relief Fund.
