Monroe Bradshaw

Monroe "Monnie" Bradshaw, age 64, of West, passed away late Thursday afternoon, September 16, 2010 at Providence Hospital in Waco. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. Monday until service time. Monnie was born on November 6, 1945 in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Samuel and Azelia B. (Jensen) Bradshaw. He attended Hawaiian Garden schools in Hawaiian Garden, CA. Monnie served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On April 1, 1966, he was united in marriage to Teresa Marsh in Whitter, CA. He worked as a Millright Mechanic and as an oil field welder until his retirement in 2008. Monnie enjoyed watching old movies, boating, cooking, driving, and dressing in blue. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Millright Union Local #1421. Monnie is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, James and Anna Marsh; a brother, Ricky Bradshaw; and a sister, Jackie Ricci. Survivors include his beloved wife of 44 years, Teresa Bradshaw of West; two daughters, Jennifer Vybiral and husband Ray of West and Melissa Hejl and fiance John DeHay of Abbott; a brother Gary Bradshaw and wife Ellen of Corona, California; a sister, Karna Ray Hidlebaugh of Cypress, California; three grandchildren, Caitlin Vybiral and Alli and Jacob Hejl; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Bradshaw, Steve Marsh, Ronnie Marsh, Ray Vybiral, John DeHay, and Gerry Velin.
