Milton "Bud" Cammack, age 86, of West, passed away Tuesday morning, May 7, 2024 at his residence.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Pastor Mark Huffhines officiating. Burial will follow at Gholson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Bud was born December 24, 1937 on Rogers Hill, the son of Horace and Minnie (Lightfoot) Cammack. He attended Tokio School and was a 1956 graduate of West High School. On June 9, 1962 he was united in marriage to Delores Hannes in Leroy. Bud was a Past Master of the West Masonic Lodge #475, a member of West Fair and Rodeo Association, Double Circle Coop Board of Directors, a charter member of West Longhorn Club, Associated Milk Producers Incorporated Board of Directors, and on the Gholson Water Board. He owned and operated Cammack Dairy along with his wife on Rogers Hill road for many years until his retirement in 1998. Bud also worked as a foreman for McKinney and James Construction in Waco, and did custom hay baling. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching hummingbirds with his dog Jax, and scrolling on Facebook. Bud ventured out now and then to pop a top and socialize with his friends at County Line Grocery, Tokio Store, Autley's, and the Ross Country Store. He loved spending time with his family, especially spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Norma Sulak; brothers-in-law, Clarence Hannes, Virgil Heine, Ted T. Helm, and J.C. "Clinton" McCartney; and his parents-in-law, Bill & Annie Hannes.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Delores Cammack of West; his children, Mike Cammack and wife Janet of West, Pat Cammack and Jill Suggs of West, Tim Cammack and wife Joyce of Waco, and Angela Sinkule and husband Doug of Abbott; grandchildren, Hadley Cammack and Katie Sheets, Hayden Cammack and Bailey Calloway, Tyler Gant and Aria, Macy Rejcek and husband Eric, Madison Green and husband Austin, Molly Cammack and Zeb Lumpkin, Dylan Cammack and wife Jamie, Tyler Cammack and Courtney Hamlin, Bradley Sinkule and McKenzie Hromadka, Camryn Sinkule, Brock Sinkule, Corbin Suggs, Carigan Suggs, Ashton Rogers and Morgan, Kristen Rogers and Michael, Randel Barnard and wife Valerie, Clayton Barnard and wife Natalie, Maegan Quayle and husband John, and Jamey Barnard; great grandchildren, Logan, Chandler, Cayden, Ellison, Layne, Briggs, Kailey, Kirstyn, J.J., Gunner, Reagan, Levi, Van, and three on the way; sisters, Vanita Hill and husband Wiley, June Helm, and Joan McCartney; brothers-in-law, Gene Sulak, L.D. Hannes, and Jodie Hannes; sisters-in-law, Tootsie Hannes and Molly Gillmore; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Active pallbearers are Hadley Cammack, Hayden Cammack, Dylan Cammack, Tyler Cammack, Bradley Sinkule, Brock Sinkule, Eric Rejcek, Austin Green, and Jeff Taylor. Honorary pallbearers are Joe McCartney, Reinholdt Knust, Jim Green, John Ash, Larry Binnion, Gene Buckingham, Alden Kimmey, and Calvin Webb.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gholson Volunteer Fire Department.
The family would like to thank Community Hospice for their compassionate care given to our family during this difficult time.
