Millie Chudej, age 94, of West passed away late Friday night, December 12, 2008 at West Rest Haven. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 1:00 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Mrs. Chudej was born February 2, 1914 in Penelope, the daughter of Charlie and Vincie (Kadlubar) Prasifka. She attended schools in Penelope. In 1947, she was united in marriage to Joe A. Chudej. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1968. Millie worked as a sewing machine operator for Clifton Manufacturing, Wood Manufacturing, Lorch Manufacturing, and Wolf Manufacturing. She also was a homemaker. Millie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, K.J.Z.T. # 11, and St. Anne's Altar Society. She is also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charlie Prasifka, Jody Prasifka, and Laddie Prasifka; two sisters, Wilma Dennis and Albina Dennis; two granddaughters, Gina Dassing, and Danielle Dassing; and one step granddaughter, Pam Jones. Survivors include one daughter, Delores Dassing and husband Raymond of Waco; one step-daughter, Marie McClain of Irving; one sister, Irene Watkins of Hunting Park, CA; two grandsons, Dwayne Dassing and Gary Dassing and wife Maria; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
