Mildred "Millie" Carson, age 84, of West, passed away late Saturday evening, July 22, 2006 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Nock Russell. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev Vincent Chacko, IMS as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Carson was born March 8, 1922 in Wichita Falls, the daughter of John Wesley and Eva (Brown) McDonald. She attended schools in Wichita Falls. In 1961 she was united in marriage to James Alvin Carson in Belton. Millie was a homemaker and housewife. They also owned and operated the Hoot 'n' Holler at Four Corners, and for several years she worked for Janda's Place and the Chicken House. Millie loved to work crossword puzzles and watch soap operas. She also enjoyed dancing, reading, and spending time with her family. Before Millie died she wanted the people of West to know how wonderful they were and even though she wasn't born and raised in this area she had never lived in a nicer and friendlier location than West. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Val, Nettie, and Addie; and a son-in-law, Eugene Bajer, Sr. Survivors include her beloved husband, James A. Carson of West; three daughters, Carol Bajer and Bonnie Archer and her husband Cliff, all of West and Brenda Long and her husband Tommie of Stratford; five grandsons, Eugene J. "Chip" Bajer, Jr. and his wife Cami, Damon Baldwin and his wife Carol, Kevin Long and his wife Angela, Malcolm Long and his wife Amy, and Justin Long and his wife Rachell; one granddaughter, Christine Holecek and her husband Greg; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Ted Uptmore Sr., Jerry Sinkule, Greg Holecek, Andy Bajer, Carson Bajer, Damon Baldwin, Kevin Long, Malcolm Long, Justin Long, T.J. Long, and Hayden Long. Honorary pallbearers will be the Employees of the West Fertilizer Plant. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Center or the Acts Missions.
