Mike Miller

Mike Miller, age 50, of West, passed away early Thursday morning, January 13, 2005 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with the Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Miller was born on October 13, 1954 in Waco, the son of George C. and Marie (Webb) Miller. He attended schools in West. On April 20, 1985, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Werner in West. She preceded him in death on May 22, 1997. He worked as a security guard for L-3 Communications in Waco for ten years. He also had worked for West Lumber Company and Certain-Teed in Hillsboro. Mike enjoyed his daughter's softball games, riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing. He was very reliable and ready to help others and will surely be missed by all. He was a member of the Harley Davidson Club. Survivors include his daughter, Tonya Miller of West; his father, George C. Miller and his wife Bernice of West; his mother, Marie Miller, of West; a brother, John David Miller and his wife Sharon of Plano; one sister, Pamela Vaughn and her husband Henry of West; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Bank & Trust for a trust fund for his daughter Tonya.
