Michael Don Mach

Michael Don Mach, age 59, of Prairie Hill, formerly of Penelope, passed away Friday morning, March 12, 2010 the result of a motor vehicle accident near Prairie Hill. A rosary will be recited and Memorial Mass celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Michael was born on August 17, 1950 in Waco, the son of Joe and Mary (Helona) Mach. He graduated from Penelope High School. Michael was a farmer for most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed drinking coffee with his coffee buddies at all of the bakeries. Michael was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two daughters, Michele Tatum of Gatesville and Christy Mach and fianc Brandon Slagle of Frisco; a son, Kevin Mach of Prairie Hill; three brothers, Milford Mach and wife Mary Lou of Bedford, Joe F. Mach and wife Lillian of Lacy Lakeview, and Robert Mach and wife Annie of Mart; a sister, Nancy Mach Shaffer and husband David of Granbury; two grandchildren, Victoria and Danielle Tatum; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Volunteer Ambulance Association or the charity of your choice.
