Meta Aleman, age 87, of West, passed away Friday evening, September 23, 2005 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Gene Kotrla officiating. Burial will follow at Closner Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Aleman was born on November 11, 1917 in the community of Gerald, the daughter of A. L. and Caroline (Weissinger) Kelinske. She attended Gerald and Elm Mott schools. On November 23, 1936, she was united in marriage to John H. Aleman in Waco. She worked for twenty-five years as a mechanical assemblyman for the Recognition Company in Irving until her retirement in 1984. She was also a homemaker and loved spending time with family and friends. Meta was a member of First United Church of West. She was active in the Women's Guild at First United and St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald. Her parents and two brothers, Ernest J. Kelinske and Felix Kelinski, all preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, John Aleman of West; one son, Kenneth Wayne Aleman of Fruitville; one sister, Barbara Lander; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Kelinske and Carolyn Kelinske; two granddaughters, Tina Rackley and Tamina Henson; seven great-grandchildren, Matthew, Tristen, Michaela and Emilie Rackley, Ashley and April Franks, and Cory Henson; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to First United Church of West.
