Melissa (Kalina) Edmonds, age 45, of China Spring, passed away early Friday morning, December 11, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Waco. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2020 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Grant Kaul officiating. Very limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all services. LIVE STREAM of the service will be provided. Melissa was born January 16, 1975 in Waco, the daughter of Gregory and Dianna (Lovecky) Kalina. She was a 1993 graduate of West High School prior to receiving her Physical Therapy Assistant certification from McLennan Community College. On October 20, 2002 she was united in marriage to Brian Edmonds in West. Melissa was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church of Waco. She worked for Bluebonnet Home Health in Waco for the past 7 years. Melissa enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, taking care of her Bluebonnet patients, shopping with her Mom and going to all of Carson's baseball tournaments. Spending time with friends and family is what she loved most, especially being with Carson and all her grandchildren. Melissa is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Sidney and Elizabeth Kalina; and maternal grandfather, Steve Lovecky. Survivors include her beloved husband of 18 years, Brian Edmonds of China Spring; her son, Carson Edmonds of China Spring; her stepsons, Christopher Hiland and wife Lindsay of Robinson, Cody Edmonds of Waco, and Clay Edmonds and his fiancee, Auburn Ryan of Waco; her parents, Greg and Dianna Kalina of West; her grandmother, Anna Ruth Lovecky; her brother, Aaron Kalina and wife, Kasandra; her father-in-law, Carroll Edmonds and wife Doris; her grandchildren, Bryson, Madison and one grandson on the way; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an Education Fund for Carson.
