Mary Ruth (King) Dudik Schroeder, age 76, of West, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 11, 2020 at her residence. Rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Mary Ruth was born February 21, 1944 in Ross, the daughter of John and Mary (Jaska) King. She attended Ross and West schools and graduated from West High School in 1962. On August 3, 1963 she was united in marriage to Edward Dudik in West. Edward preceded her in death on May 2, 1991. She later married Raymond "Jack" Schroeder on October 15, 1994 in West. Jack preceded her in death on May 2, 2006. Mary Ruth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She worked as a seamstress for Wolf Manufacturing, Lorch's, Waco Apparel, and Ruserouge. She spent leisure time sewing uniforms for basketball teams, proms, weddings and other occasions. Mary Ruth enjoyed playing basketball, quilting, dancing, gambling, cooking and baking. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Mary Ruth is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, John King Jr.; sisters, Monica King and Terry Walker; and a grandchild, Jamie Chudej. Survivors include her children, Steve Dudik and wife Anita Steele of Lorena, Vince Dudik of West, Beverly Sterling and husband Frank of Waco, Edward J. Dudik III and wife Jan of West, Joey Dudik of Chalk Bluff, Kevin Dudik of West, and Terrence "Tabo" Dudik of Elm Mott; a brother, Sam King and wife Elaine; sisters, JoAnn Kreder and husband Gary, Martha Stalkfleet and husband Brad, Cecilia Kuklies and husband Robert, Roberta "Robi" Gerik and husband Brice, and Edith Kubala and husband Mark; sister-in-law, Ladonna King; grandchildren, Jerod Dudik, Mallory Leal and Josey, Taylor Dudik, Zachary Dudik, Lauren Dudik, Joey Dudik Jr. and wife Bethany, Jacob Dudik and wife Katie, Jordan Dudik, Lexi Dudik and fiancé Justin Lowe, Colin Dudik and wife Lacee, Keaton Dudik, and Kamry Dudik; great grandchildren, Cassidy, Brenle, Jackson, Jace, Laeney, Lacey and Kimber; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Bob Gerik, Sammy Gerik, Aubrey Gerik, Gary Kreder Jr, Joey Dudik Jr, Jacob Dudik, Craig Andrle, and Jeff Veselka. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Ambulance Association.
