Mary Jane Gerik

Mary Jane Gerik age 69 of Waco, formerly of West, passed away Thursday evening, March 29, 2007 in a Waco nursing home. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday at Kotch Funeral Home in West. Rosary will be recited 2:30 p.m. Sunday followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West; with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Miss Gerik, was born February 11, 1938 at West and lived in the West area most of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West, K.J.Z.T. Society #11 and graduated from St. Mary's School in West. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Amalie Karlik Gerik, four brothers, Daniel, Frankie, Joseph and Edward Gerik; a sister, Irene Gerik and sister-in-law Nona Jean Gerik. Mary Jane is survived by three brothers, Johnny Gerik and wife, Evelyn of West, Bernard Gerik of Waco and Marvin Gerik of West; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Doris) Nesrsta of Abbott; sister-in-law Henrietta Gerik of West and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Center or to the Seminarians Fund.
