Mary Hynek Lenart

August 16, 1942 — January 20, 2013

Mary Lillian (Hynek) Lenart, age 70, of Plano, formerly of Abbott, went to be with her Heavenly Father early Sunday afternoon, January 20, 2013 at her residence. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with visitation to follow until 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, with Msgr. Henry Petter as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mary was born August 16, 1942 near West, the daughter of Joseph O. and Mary (Skerik) Hynek. She attended school in Abbott and was a 1960 graduate of Abbott High School prior to attending Business College in Waco. On April 30, 1966, she was united in marriage to Raymond Lenart in Abbott. Mary was a homemaker before returning to work as an executive secretary for Experian for many years until retiring in 2006. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Plano. She was also a member of the K.J.Z.T. Society, Sokol Dallas, The Dallas Circle of Czech Women and Polk of A. Mary was proud of her Czech heritage and was an ardent collector of authentic Czech Folk Music, Bohemian glass and Czech dolls. She enjoyed listening to polka music, dancing and is a former Queen of the International Polka Festival held in Ennis. She attended a college summer session in the Czech Republic to enhance her knowledge of the Czech culture. Mary was also a very passionate Texas Longhorns Fan. Above all else she especially loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dolores Jelen and Carolyn Dvoracek. Survivors include her beloved husband of 46 years, Ray of Plano; a son, Steven Lenart and wife Regina of Lucas; three daughters, Cindy Dupuy and husband Ray of Allen, Kathryn Johnson and husband Ken of Plano and Emily Donaldson and husband Robert of Plano; grandchildren, Austen, Chloe and Cambree Dupuy; Izak, Natalie and Lauren Lenart; Ryan, Valerie and Kayla Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Czech Educational Foundation of Texas, or the Czech Heritage Museum and Genealogy Center in Temple.
