Mary Frances Tobola

Mary Frances Tobola, age 64, of West, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 26, 2007 at Lake Shore Village in Waco. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mary Frances was born on January 21, 1943 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Jimmie J. and Frances (Bartosh) Tobola Jr. She attended St. Mary's School and graduated from West High School, before attending 4-C Business College in Waco. She was a loan and insurance officer for Central Texas Federal Credit Union for 23 years until she retired in 2006. Prior to that she was with Tobola & Behringer Insurance Agency from 1980 to 1983 and also worked for S.J. Guthrie Real Estate Company, all in Waco. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Mary Frances enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was a big Texas A&M fan, enjoyed reading, working, being around people, crocheting, riding around, and seeing nice things. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include three brothers, Vincent J. Tobola Jr. Lt. Col. USAF Retired of Waco, James E. Tobola and wife Becky Jo of Hewitt, and David P. Tobola and wife Gail of Bartlesville, OK; nephews, Nathan Tobola, Philip Tobola, and John Tobola; niece, Charidy Trevino and husband Florencio; great nephew, Keegan Trevino; great niece, Brianna Trevino; and many other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Parish Center.
