Mary Bessie Sinkule

November 28, 1918 — January 25, 2010

Mary Bessie Sinkule, age 91, a resident of West Rest Haven, formerly of Abbott, passed away late Monday evening, January 25, 2010 at St. Catherine's Center in Waco. The family will receive visitors from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. A rosary will be recited following the visitation at 7:30 p.m. by Janice Kaluza. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, with Rev. B. George as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery. Mrs. Sinkule was born November 28, 1918 in West, the daughter of Joseph Frank and Frances (Bacak) Pustejovsky. She attended St. Mary's School in West. On November 18, 1937 she was united in marriage to Joe L. Sinkule in West. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2006. Mary was a homemaker and a very supportive farmer's wife. She was a very faithful member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, where she directed the youth choir, was a member of the Czech Choir, and served on the Altar Society. Mary was also a member of the Abbott K.J.Z.T. Society #104, where she formerly served as treasurer. She enjoyed music, singing, cooking and sewing. She especially loved spending time with her family. Her parents; four brothers, Louis Pustejovsky, Bill Pustejovsky, Anton Pustejovsky, and Albin Pustejovsky; and two sisters, Otillie Roznovsky and Agnes Sinkule also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Joe L. Sinkule Jr. and wife Eugenia of Abbott; three daughters, Molly Spinks and husband Paul of Richardson, Sandra Krusos and husband Jim of Allen, and Nancy Tichavsky and husband Harry of China Springs; a sister, Sophie Kubala of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Brian Sinkule, Troy Sinkule, Michael Spinks, Joe Pavlas, Stephen Pavlas, and Clint Tichavsky. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Fatima Cemetery Association.
