Mary Ann Robinson

Mary Ann Robinson, age 64, of West, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 30, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Waco. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Bold Springs Baptist Church, with Rev. W. W. Nunn officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Rest Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mary was born May 16, 1954 in West, the daughter of the late K.T. and Edna (Jones) Thompson. She attended West schools and was a 1972 graduate of West High School prior to attending TSTC, where she received a degree in Culinary Arts. On June 17, 1995 she was united in marriage to James Robinson Jr. in West. Mary was a member of the Powell Chapel Church. She worked for many area businesses including West Station Cafe, Heitmiller's Steakhouse, West Auction Barn, West Kiwanis Club, West Assisted Living Center, Alliance Auto Auction and The Village Bakery. Mary enjoyed shopping, cooking, traveling, reading and collecting cookbooks. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, James E. Robinson Jr. of West; her children and their spouses, Billy and Elizabeth Simmons of China Spring, Joseph Simmons of Arlington, Mary Simmons and Ryan Thomas of Houston, and Anna Simmons and Deveiyon Moten of Waco; a brother, K.T. "Bubba" Thompson Jr. and his wife Debra; grandchildren, Josh, Janavian, Ayana, De'ana, Davon and Alyshia; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Joseph Simmons, Deveiyon Moten, Xavier Law, Carlos B. Shelby, Adrian "Jai" Hammond, Howard Walker, Brian Crayton and Janavian Simmons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
