Mary Ann Nors, age 69, of Marble Falls, passed away Monday afternoon, December 5, 2016 at Granite Mesa Care Facility in Marble Falls. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead, with Rev. Albert Ruiz as celebrant. Graveside services will be held 11:45 a.m. at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott. Mary Ann was born September 28, 1947 in Waco, Texas, the daughter of Adele Kathryn Kolar and Albin John Matus Sr. She was a graduate of La Vega High School. On January 30, 1976, she was united in marriage to Ladislaus "Laddie" Frank Nors in Waco. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1999. Mary Ann was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing dominoes and bingo. She loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. She was also a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge 66 Linden Hall and K.J.Z.T. in Bellmead. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Albin Matus Jr. Survivors include her mother, Adele Matus of Bellmead; her son, David Nors and his wife Kerri of West; a daughter, Becky Sparks and husband Ricky of Kingsland; two brothers, Milton J. Matus and wife Mary Jean and Benny Matus and wife Kim; three sisters, Marsha Gerik and husband Ronnie, Melissa Reither and husband Charlie and Monica Williamson and husband Ken; a sister-in-law, Marcia Matus; six grandchildren, Austin, Travis & Daniel Sparks and Nathan, Emma and Michael Nors; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Marble Falls, Texas or to help the family with funeral expenses.
