Mary Ann Fabian, age 91, of Penelope, passed away Friday afternoon, September 23, 2022 at her residence.
A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Penelope, with Deacon Denver Crawley officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery near Penelope.
Mary Ann was born November 23, 1930 in Penelope, the daughter of John and Mary (Urbis) Firasek. She attended school in Penelope and was a graduate of Penelope High School. On August 21, 1958 she was united in marriage to Charlie Fabian in Waco. Charlie preceded her in death on August 14, 2007. Mary Ann was a faithful and lifetime member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Penelope. She was the library aide for the Penelope Independent School District for many years prior to retiring in 2015. While there she loved teaching young children to read. Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, canning, cleaning, taking care of St. Joseph's Cemetery and working at the school. She loved spending time with her family.
Mary Ann is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ikie Firasek and his wife Rosie and Ben J. Firasek and his wife Dorothy; and nephews, John Thomas Firasek and John Ed Firasek.
Survivors include her children, Karen Osborne and husband Ronald of Penelope, Glenn Fabian and wife Ann of West, and Janet Blattman and husband Scott of China Spring; her grandchildren, Audra and Jeremy Lewallen, Ethan Osborne, Kevin Osborne, Kristina Fabian, Spencer Fabian, Brianna Blattman, Danielle Blattman, and Scotty Blattman; her great grandchildren, Charli Dawn and Darci Rae Lewallen; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are Glenn Fabian, Benny Firasek, Ethan Osborne, Kevin Osborne, Spencer Fabian, Scotty Blattman, Jeremy Lewallen, and Scott Blattman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Cemetery Association.
