Mary Alice Allen

Mary Alice Allen, age 70, of West, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 18, 2021 at Lake Shore Village Healthcare Center in Waco. Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2021 at St. Mary's Cemetery in West, with Deacon Ronnie Sykora officiating. Mary Alice will lie in state from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Mary Alice was born February 5, 1951 in Waco, the daughter of Eugene and Helen (Kramolis) Hromadka. She was attended schools in West. Mary Alice was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was also a member of SPJST Lodge #54 West. Mary Alice worked for Plantation Foods, Pizza House and Sulak's Cafe for many years. She enjoyed listening to the polka music at West Rest Haven with her sister Betty, watching movies and country videos, playing bingo, coloring, and having her morning coffee. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two sons, Aaron and Darren. Mary Alice is also preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Geofrey Allen; and a sister, Sharon Hromadka. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Hill and husband Brad of Austin; two sons, Aaron Allen and Darren Kocurek, both of West; her sisters, Betty Hromadka and Denise Sebik and husband Gene; a brother, Ricky Hromadka and fiancée Amanda; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aderhold Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
