Marty Lynn Beeman, age 64, of Fort Worth, passed away late Sunday evening, October 17, 2021 at the Olin E. Teague Veterans Hospital in Temple. A Graveside Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, with Rev. Scott Beeman officiating. Marty was born December 17, 1956 in Amarillo, the son of William "Bill" and Delores (Phillips) Beeman. He attended Everman High School in Ft. Worth with the Class of 1974. Marty proudly served his country with the United States Army from 1976 to 1987. He took great honor in his military service and was known to be very patriotic. He was a member of the South Wayside Baptist Church. Marty enjoyed doing research on his computer, drinking Dr. Pepper, arranging fresh flowers, keeping the family pantry stocked, shooting his guns at the shooting range, and keeping his car exceptionally clean. He loved spending time with his family, especially traveling together, going to Branson, Missouri and recently took a trip to Hawaii to celebrate his mother's 80th birthday where he enjoyed zip lining. Marty is preceded in death by his life partner, Lisa Godsey; his father; his sister, Gail Robertson; and sister-in-law, Jan Beeman. Survivors include his mother, Delores Beeman; brothers, Bob Beeman and Steve Beeman and his wife Debbie; a sister, Juli Beeman; brother-in-law, Sam Robertson Jr.; nieces and nephews, Marinda Rangel, Sam Robertson III and wife Kim, Brooke Merlin, Coty Browne and husband Brett, and Casey Beeman; great nieces and nephews, Stevie, Holden, Jordyn, Bella, Elliot, Isla, Dakota, Kylie, Micah and Oscar; stepsons, Kevan Godsey and Vernon Godsey; Godsons, James Dye, Dylan Dye, Brad Dye; many friends including Brian and Candice Dye; and other relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
