Martha was born June 2, 1925 in Penelope, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Bartosh) Dudik. She attended school in Penelope. On November 8, 1948 she was united in marriage to Andrew A. Hlavenka in Penelope. Andrew preceded her in death on December 18, 2014. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughter of America court #829 and Catholic Life Branch #4. She enjoyed sewing, baking, playing bingo, playing "42" and taking trips to the casino. The joy of her life was spending time with her family, she never missed the opportunity to let them know how much she loved them and how proud she was of them. Martha is also preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Edward Dudik and Bill Dudik; and her sisters, Molly Hlavenka and Carrie Vrba. Left behind to cherish her memory include a son, Harry Hlavenka and wife Terry of Houston; a daughter, Dorothy Middleton and husband Lyn of Tours; grandchildren, Rachel George and husband Steve, Sarah McShaffry and husband Jason, Rebecca Patterson and husband Joe, Kayla Sinkule and husband Dwayne, Sherry Kadlacek and husband Ronnie and Ann Miller and husband Jonathan; great grandchildren, Madison, Jacob, Brayden, Branson, Brylie, Cameron, Zachary, Holden, Parker, Easton, Marley, Harper and Londyn; her sisters, Regina Kapavik, Doris Kral and husband Dennis and Louise Stuckly; sister-in-law, Carolyn Dudik; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. We will miss her with all our hearts and will always cherish the times we spent together. She was always there when we needed her and she was the most loving wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. She always put her family first and never wanted them to go out of their way for her, yet she did that all the time for them. The family is deeply appreciative to the staff of Baylor Scott & White Hospice, especially Susan Powell and Leisel Huggins, for their love and care for Martha and to her devoted family who helped her pass from this life into the arms of God.
