Martha B. Neill, age 81, of Abbott passed away Tuesday November 8, 2005 at West Rest Haven. A rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, by Janice Kaluza. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with Monsignor Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Neill was born November 2, 1924 in Hill Co., the daughter of Vaclav and Bozena Smajstrla. She attended Abbott and Brooken schools. On February 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to Hollis Neill in Abbott. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2002. Martha was a respiratory therapist at West Community Hospital for over ten years until her retirement. She also did babysitting, worked for JM Woods Manufacturing in Waco and Hillsboro and was a cook for Abbott School for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Martha loved working crossword puzzles, watching soap operas and listening to Czech music. She was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and K.J.Z.T. in Abbott. An infant son, Patrick P. Neill who died in 1955 and her sister, Margaret Klaus, also precede her in death. Survivors include five sons, Robert R. Neill and wife Betty Jo of West, Thomas J. Neill and wife Nancy of Elm Mott, Billy J. Neill and wife Sherrie of Chalk Bluff, James J. and wife Darlene of Abbott, and John D. and wife Lisa of Tours; her daughter, Patricia A. Kolar and husband Raymond of West; two sisters, Mary Olsovsky and Helen Sustala, both of Abbott; fifteen grandchildren, Melissa Warren and husband Bill Jr., Jason Neill, Kevin Neill and wife Tammy, Erin Rieger and husband Scott, Catherine Neill, Allison Neill, Wes Neill, Scott Neill, Christopher Neill, David Neill, Nicholas Neill and wife Carla, Justin Neill, Chad Kolar and wife Stacy, Brent Kolar and fiancee Jessica Elbert and Ashley Kolar; seven great-grandchildren, Bailey Warren, Braxson Warren, Kenzie Neill, Cason Rieger, Joseph Varga, Collin Neill and Kane Kolar; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pallbearers will be all of her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Building Fund or St. Martin's Catholic Church Building Fund.
