Martha Ann Maynard, affectionately known as Queen, age 74, of Elm Mott, passed away late Wednesday morning, February 23, 2022 at her residence. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, with Deacon Ronnie Sykora officiating. The family will receive visitors from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Martha was born August 7, 1947 in Waco, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Mynar) Hutyra. She attended schools in West and was a 1965 graduate of West High School where she was a member of the state championship basketball team. On September 18, 1965 she was united in marriage to Donald Maynard in Abbott. Donald preceded her in death on August 8, 2010. Martha worked for Fleetwood Mobile Homes and most recently for Mars Wrigley Confectionery several years before retiring. Martha enjoyed taking care of others and fishing. She loved spending time with her family. Martha is also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harry Lee Hutyra; and a sister, Annette Hutyra. Survivors include her sons, Dwayne Maynard and wife Angel, and Jeff Maynard and fiancée Andrea Jirousky; two brothers, Henry Hutyra Jr. and his wife Patricia and Joe Hutyra and his wife Cindy; two sisters, Darlene Graham and her husband Leonard and Nancy DeWitt; grandchildren, Meagan Kuykendall and Justine Dennis-Fulp; great grandchildren, Katy Kuykendall and Carrigan Taylor; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends Rescue.
