Marolyn D. Todd, age 66, of West, passed away Monday, February 28, 2005 at West Rest Haven. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of West with the Dr. John Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Marolyn was a twin daughter born on June 22, 1938 in McCaskill, Arkansas to William and Dorothy (Wardlaw) Blackmon. She graduated from Ft. Worth Technical High School in 1956. She worked as a secretary for Farm Bureau and M & M Mars in Waco for fifteen years each until her retirement in 1996. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and she enjoyed "spoiling" them and attending many of their activities. Marolyn loved to landscape paint in her spare time. She was very close to the members of her church family at First Baptist Church in West and enjoyed many activities with them. Her parents, William and Dorothy Blackmon precede her in death. Survivors include a son, Robin Waters and wife Carolyn of West; a daughter, Rhonda Deiterman and husband Dwain of West; her twin sister, Carolyn Chadwell and sister, Pam Martin, both of Ft. Worth; former husband, Richard Waters of Salado; five grandchildren, Justin, Jacob and Julia Waters and Brittany and Blake Deiterman; one nephew, Jim Chadwell and four nieces, Cindy Chadwell, Tami Garcia, Tonya Tefertiller, Mindy Renfro. Pallbearers are be Dwain Deiterman, Blake Deiterman, Justin Waters, Jacob Waters, Richard Waters and Jim Chadwell. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of West Building Fund.
