Mark Lichnovsky

Mark Stephen Lichnovsky, age 55, of West, passed away late Monday evening, January 30, 2023 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro.

Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at St. Mary's Cemetery near West, with Deacon Robin Waters officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel.

Mark was born October 25, 1967 in Waco, the son of Ernest and Bernice (Hutyra) Lichnovsky. He attended schools in West and was a 1986 graduate of West High School, prior to attending McLennan Community College. Mark was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He worked for many area businesses including Czech Stop, Slovacek's, West Food Mart, Lichnovsky's Grocery and Nemecek's Meat Market. He also worked for Walmart in Bellmead and Neighborhood Grocery in Mansfield. Most recently he enjoyed working for Cefco in West. Mark enjoyed working hard, vacationing, going on cruises, gambling in Las Vegas, cooking, barbecuing, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. He loved spending time with his brothers and friends.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ernest "Ernie" Lichnovsky.

Survivors include two brothers, Dwain Lichnovsky of West and Gary Lichnovsky of Leroy; and many other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers are Paul Cepak, Tim Nors, Vince Kadlubar, Donald Lichnovsky, Billy Hutyra, Donnie Berger and Kenneth Hutyra.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association.
