Marge Wright Matus

Marge Wright Matus, age 86, of West, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 10, 2021 at West Rest Haven in West.

A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant.  <a href="https://www.aderholdfuneralhome.com/obituaries/live-services">LIVE STREAM</a> of the service will be provided.  Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Marge was born October 25, 1935 in the Hoen community near Leroy, the daughter of William and Mary (Matus) Skopik.  She was a graduate of the Holy Trinity School in Dallas.  On June 19, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Wright in Dallas.  Bob preceded her in death on November 29, 1985.  Then on May 24, 1997 she was united in marriage to Raymond Matus in West.  Raymond also preceded her in death on April 12, 2008.  Marge was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West.  She was also a member of the SPJST Lodge #54 and the Catholic Daughters of America Court #829.  She was a Mother, Homemaker and a Teacher's Aide for the West Independent School District for 14 years.  Marge enjoyed traveling in the RV, going to casinos, taking care of her pets, and dancing.  She loved attending family gatherings and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Marge is also preceded in death by parents; a daughter, Patty Wright Harkins; a son, Michael Wright; and a stepson, Richard "Lambert" Matus.

Survivors include her children, Terry Wright and wife Jill of Spring, Debbie Pavlicek and husband James of West, Steve Wright and wife Cindy of Boliver, Michelle Wolf and husband Rick of West, and Pat Wright and wife Jennifer of West; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; stepchildren, Steve Matus and wife Dierdre and Rose Ann Morris and husband Eddie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Mike Wright, David Wright, Jordan Wright, Chris Pavlicek, Matt Pavlicek, Brian Wright, Josh Wright, Allan Wright, Nathan Wright, and Jason Grochoske.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
