Margaret Marie "Marge" Haberl, age 85, of West, passed away Wednesday evening, September 30, 2009 at Providence Health Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Acolyte Kenneth Vochoska, with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev. Walter Matus as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Haberl was born June 15, 1924 near West, the daughter of Frank and Julia (Hilscher) Holacka. She attended schools in Cottonwood and West. On January 31, 1945 she was united in marriage to A. C. Haberl in Coronado Beach, California. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1999. Marge was a homemaker for many years and a very avid community volunteer. Marge was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, where she served on the Altar Society and as a Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. She was the Director of the West Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary for over 20 years; a Jr. CDA Counselor for 6 years; a past State Director for K.J.Z.T.; a chairman for the local March of Dimes for a number of years; and a very active member of C.D.A. Court #829 in West for over 50 years. Marge also helped to organize the building of the West Fraternal Auditorium. Most recently she was a Providence Park Resident Volunteer. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Fleet Reserve Association and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, flower arranging, traveling, as well as spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her parents; a son, Timothy Haberl; and an infant sister Frances Holacka also preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Malcolm Haberl and wife Doris of Elm Mott and Frank Haberl and wife Renee of Lewisville; three daughters, Deborah Vochoska and husband Kenneth of West, Denice Kubacak and husband Allan of West, and Dolores Nemec and husband David of Woodway; two sisters, Barbara Snelson of Abilene and Dolores Tobola of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren, Paul Haberl and wife Tara, Susan Darling and husband Jason, Kenna Whitehead and husband Kirk, Gregg Vochoska and wife Devon, Katie Shea and husband Kevin, Christopher Kubacak and wife Amber, Lindsay Nemec and Ryan Nemec; eleven great grandchildren, Madison, Meredith, Makaelin and Max Haberl, Raegan and Ace Whitehead, Jackson Vochoska, Brinley and Jace Darling, Cadence and Audrey Kubacak; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are grandchildren, Paul Haberl, Kenna Whitehead, Susan Darling, Gregg Vochoska, Katie Shea, Christopher Kubacak, Lindsay Nemec and Ryan Nemec. Memorials may be made to St. Anne's Altar Society in care of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, P.O. Box 276, West, Texas 76691, or to the charity of your choice.
