Margaret Allene Jones

Margaret Jones, age 88, of West, passed away early Friday morning, April 17, 2020 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. Private Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Lorena Cemetery with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Mrs. Jones will lie-in-state Monday from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. LIVE STREAM Margaret was born June 7, 1931 in Lorena, the daughter of Hulund and Vera (Anderson) Duncan. She attended schools in Lorena and many years later she received a certificate in Child Care Education from McLennan Community College. Margaret was a very faithful member of First Baptist Church in West. She enjoyed gardening, walking, and being outdoors. She especially loved volunteering at the West Senior Citizens Center and was recognized as a Volunteer of The Year more than once. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Jones; her sons, Kenneth Jones and Johnny Jones; and brothers, Norman Duncan and David Duncan. Survivors include her children, Dorothy Montroy and husband Charles, Bonnie Jones, Rickie Jones, Linda Davis, Claude Jones Jr., Anna Picha, Hulune Jones, Michael Jones, Tina Hurd and husband Randall, and Michelle Smithey and husband Jimmy; 27 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Senior Citizens Center.
