Loyce (Spillman) Singleton, age 73, of Waco, passed away Saturday evening, May 26, 2012 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff, with Rev. Charles Howard officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Loyce was born March 5, 1939 in McGregor, the daughter of George Callie and Mary Isidore (Wingrove) Spillman. She attended Connally High School near Waco. On August 17, 1991 she was united in marriage to Clyde Edward Singleton in Gholson. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2009. Loyce was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church in Chalk Bluff. She enjoyed bowling, camping, traveling and spending time with her cats. Loyce is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George Franklin Spillman and John Earl Spillman; and two sisters, Dorothy Klepper and Dollie Ruth Herbelin. Survivors include four sons, Steven Howard and wife Renee, Michael Howard and wife Valerie, David Howard, and Rev. Charles Howard and wife Beth, all of Waco; a daughter, Cynthia Woolf and husband Kevin of San Diego, CA; step-daughter, Kathy Smith and husband Doug of Bandera; her twin sister and best friend, Joyce Ann Slaight and husband Don of Chalk Bluff; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
