Louise Maler, age 79, of Whitney, passed away late Tuesday evening, October 2, 2018 at Brookdale Eden Estates in Bedford. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Mark Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Spring Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Louise was born May 15, 1939 in Seymour, Texas the daughter of James and Estelle (Hailey) Patterson. She was a 1956 graduate of Seymour High School. On September 7, 1979 she was united in marriage to Jerry Maler in Arlington. Louise was a loving mother to her children, and she worked for General Motors for 17 years before retiring in 1989. Louise was a member of the Open Range Cowboy church in Whitney. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, scrap booking, and crocheting. Louise loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Louise is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eddie Patterson and Buddy Patterson; and a sister, Sandra Holland. Survivors include her beloved husband of 39 years, Jerry Maler of Whitney; her children, Deborah Esquivel of Arlington, Thomas Robles Jr. of Grand Prairie, Tammy Peterson and husband Marvin of Whitney, Carmen Hall and husband Glenn of Senoia, GA, Richard Maler and wife Sue Ann of Corsicana, Karen Smith and husband Jody of Euless, Brenda Albright and husband Steve of Euless and Ross Maler David and wife Meta of Boston, MA; brothers, Jerry Patterson and Don Patterson; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Lee Peterson, Hector Esquivel, Danny Esquivel, Bruce Kovacicek, Dana Peterson, Gracen Hall, and Gavin Hall. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Johnson, Ryan Smith, Tiffany Marcks, B.J. Meloncon, Eric Maler, Jack Maler, Luke Maler, Tim Morris, and Blaine Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
