Louis J. Webre Sr., age 75, of West, passed away Sunday morning, July 9, 2006 in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home followed by a visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev Vincent Chacko, IMS, con-celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Webre was born January 8, 1931 in Thibodaux, LA, the son of Thomas and Agnes (Fremin) Webre. He attended school in New Orleans and served his country in the United States Army from 1953 until 1955 during the Korean Conflict. On January 7, 1956 he was united in marriage to Margaret (Hennig) Webre in West. He was a self-employed mechanic and also worked for the West Independent School District for seventeen years, before retiring in 2002. Louis was very mechanically minded and loved to work on cars. He also enjoyed cooking, Bar-B-Quing, and spending time with his family. Louis was a member of K.J.T. #31, K.J.Z.T. Ludmila #11, and St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. His parents, two brothers, and four sisters preceded him in death. Survivors include his beloved wife of fifty years, Margaret Webre of West; eight sons, Louis Webre, Jr. and his fianc, Susan Knapek, Thomas Webre and his wife Patricia, Daniel Webre and his wife Mary, Kenneth Webre and his wife Cindy, David Webre and his wife Donna, Andrew Webre, Phillip Webre and his wife Paula, and Gregory Webre, Sr. and his wife Alisha, all of West; three daughters, Juanita Poteet and her husband Chesley, Laura Skerik and her husband Bobby, and Lydia Nors and her husband Gary, all of West; twenty-three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Active pallbearers are Ryan Poteet, Aaron Poteet, James Webre, Scott Webre, Dan Webre, Kyle Webre, Tyler Skerik, Keith Webre, Garrett Nors, Justin Webre and Blake Nors. Honorary pallbearers are Kolby Webre, Kory Webre, Lance Nors and Gregory Webre, Jr. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Endowment Fund.
