Louella Buckelew

Louella Buckelew, age 88, of Waco, passed away Sunday evening, August 20, 2023 at Lakeshore Village in Waco.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Sarah Miller officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until service time. There will be a private burial at White Rock Cemetery in Ross.

Louella was born October 18, 1934 in Blum, the daughter of Ben and Martha (Basye) Clements. She was a 1952 graduate of West High School. On December 22, 1956 she was united in marriage to Herman Buckelew in West. Herman preceded her in death on September 9, 1960. Louella attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lacy Lakeview. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being outdoors in her flower garden, watching birds, taking care of her animals, especially her cats and dogs. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with family and friends.

Louella is also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Benny Clements Jr.

Survivors include her children, Jimmy Don Buckelew and Susan Hurst-Church of Mineral Wells, and Terry Buckelew and wife Patricia of CA; her grandchildren, Jeremy Hurst and wife Nicole and Ren Hurst; great granddaughter, Bryce Lynn Hurst; her brother, Michael Clements and wife Carol; her sisters, Barbara  Petty and Carolyn Howell and husband James; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waco Humane Society.
