Lottie Lehde, age 95, of Elm Mott, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 29, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald, with the Rev. Stephanie Spitzer officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Lehde was born on March 6, 1911 near the Gerald community, the daughter of Ernest and Karoline (Krenz) Leuschner. She attended schools in Gerald. On October 7, 1937, she was united in marriage to Herbert Fred Lehde in Gerald. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1998. She worked as a supervisor for J. M. Woods Manufacturing in Waco for several years until her retirement. Lottie loved to play dominoes, especially 42, take care of her cattle, and attend all of the monthly birthday luncheons on ladies day out. She was a member of Sons of Hermann, and St. Paul's United Church in Gerald, where she was very active in the Ladies Guild. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Nelda Leuschner of Northcrest; her caregiver, Blanca Leal of Bellmead; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Paul Urbanovsky, Stanley Leuschner, Alton Leuschner, Gene Leuschner, Dennis Urbanovsky and Lamar Leuschner. Memorials may be made to Gerald Cemetery Association or St. Paul's Women's Guild.
