Lottie Hollingsworth

Lottie Hollingsworth, age 94, of West, passed away early Thursday evening, March 19, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Aderhold Funeral Home, with Brother Danny Hodgkins officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Lottie was born January 29, 1921 in Malvern, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas and Emma (Murphy) McHenry. She attended the old Crow School in Blum. On September 25, 1936 she was united in marriage to Berry Lee Hollingsworth in Hillsboro. Berry preceded her in death on March 28, 1979. Lottie was a custodian of TSTC for over 13 years before retiring in 1987. She was also a homemaker. Lottie enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, crocheting, cooking and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her family. Lottie is also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, David "Shorty" Hollingsworth and Thomas Hollingsworth; a daughter, Irvena Catherine Hollingsworth; a great grandson, Rance Donnell; brothers, Irvin Parker, Samuel Travis and Charles Travis; and a sister, Estelle Sheffield. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Davidson of Lacy Lakeview; a son, Albert Hollingsworth and wife Annette of Lacy Lakeview; grandchildren, Ronald Davidson, Kimberly Hollingsworth, Michael Hollingsworth, Jay Lynn Gerik and husband Sammy, Darren Davidson and wife Sharon, Victoria Goodwin and husband Stacy, James Hollingsworth and wife DeAnn and Randy Davidson; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are James Hollingsworth, Darren Davidson, Ronald Davidson, Randy Davidson, Mike Hollingsworth, Josh White, Sammy Gerik and Stacy Goodwin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Veterans of Foreign Wars or West Volunteer Fire Department.
