Lollie Vaquera, age 71, of Grand Prairie, passed away late Thursday night, July 23, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas. A rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery near Tours. Lollie was born June 27, 1944 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Gregorio and Rachael (Ortiz) Ramirez. She attended schools in West. On July 28, 1962 she was united in marriage to Albert Vaquera in Hillsboro. Lollie was a homemaker and volunteered at the Arlington Mission Clinic. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grand Prairie where she served on the Women's Guild. Lollie enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren who were know as the "Diamond's in Her Heart". Lollie is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margarite Torango; and brothers, Gregorio Ramirez Jr., Jessie Ramirez and Bartolo Ramirez. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Albert Vaquera of Grand Prairie; daughters, Elaine O'Quinn and husband Robert and Rhonda Beneavides and husband Alfred, all of Arlington; a son, Albert David Vaquera of Whitney; sisters, Pauline Holmes, Martha Cruz, Antonia Ramirez, Simona Ramirez and Nancy Torres; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Stephen Hibbard, Alfred Benavides, David Guerra, Seth Benavides,Robert O'Quinn, Jeremy Marquez, Gregorio Ferretiz and Billy Tarango.
