Lois Holder Coffer

Lois Holder Coffer, age 73, of West, passed away late Sunday morning, October 24, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Ron Hill, Chaplain for Bluebonnet Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Coffer was born January 12, 1937 in Paris, TX the daughter of C. D. and Mary (Haney) Long. She attended schools in Paris. On May 6, 1955 she was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Holder in West. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1983. On July 26, 1993 she was united in marriage to Jesse T. Coffer in Waco. Lois made mini blinds for Kirsch Woven Woods in Waco for several years before retiring in 1993. She previously worked for Spenco in Waco. She was a Baptist. Lois enjoyed tending to her flowers, doing yard work, gardening, and she especially loved spending time with her family. She really enjoyed life. Her parents; her father, Harold Gilbert; a son, Michael T. Coffer; and a sister, Mary Jo Hibler, also preceded her in death. Survivors include her beloved husband of 17 years, Jesse Coffer of West; two sons, Ronald Holder and Bryan Holder, both of Axtell; two daughters, Linda Wills and husband James of Axtell and Susan Culp and husband Lloyd of Houston; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Coffer of West; two brothers, her twin, Troy Long and wife Ann of Chilton and James Gilbert of San Antonio; three sisters, Ruth Durham of Riesel, Liz Hughes and husband Tom of Waco, and Dorothy Gilbert of New Braunfels; six grandchildren, Bobby Holder, Shannon Dulock and wife Tina, Steven Coffer and wife Amanda, Corky Wayne Coffer and wife Sidney, Zachary Culp, and Chase Culp; seven great grandchildren, Bobby Jai Dillan Holder, Rylee Dulock, Brittney Coffer, Rachel Coffer, Courtney Coffer, Kendall Coffer, and Katerina Coffer; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Shannon Dulock, Bobby Holder, Steven Coffer, Corky Coffer, Dennis Durham, Thomas Schmidt, and Zachary Culp. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
