Lloyd Frank Janek, age 85, of Dallas, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family, early Friday afternoon, August 26, 2016 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at West Brethren Cemetery, with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Lloyd was born July 6, 1931 in Miles, the son of the late Frank E. and Elsie (Rypel) Janek. He was a 1948 graduate of Penelope High School. On January 26, 1952 he was united in marriage to Mary Dewey in Waco. He retired from Prestige Ford in Dallas. Lloyd spent his life loving his family, playing dominos, working crosswords and traveling the world. He was very fun loving, adventurous and a generous husband, father, grandfather and friend and had a heart of gold. His presence here will be deeply missed. Survivors include his beloved wife of 64 years, Mary (Dewey) Janek of Dallas; sons, Kenneth Janek and wife JoDee of Sachse, Gary Janek of Dallas, Paul Janek and wife Louise of Dallas and Roy Lee Janek of Dallas; brother, Roy E. Janek; grandchildren, Rachelle Janek, Tina Janek Kolb, Joshua Janek, Chris Torres, Rachael Janek, and Janay Janek Walker; great grandchildren, Preston Kolb, Joshua Janek II, Kristin-Carolise Kolb, Jacob Janek, Madison Janek, Dylan Walker and Devin Walker; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Josh Janek, Joshua Janek II, Jacob Janek, Kevin Kolb, Preston Kolb, Chris Torres, Ronnie Tindell and James Garcia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Brethren Church.
