Linda Millican, age 64, of West, passed away peacefully late Thursday morning, January 9, 2014 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, with her daughter and sister at her side. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday January 18, 2014 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Linda was born June 25, 1949 in Rotan, Texas, the daughter of Alfred Reeves and Billie Lou (Fancher) Kolb. She attended Galena Park High School in Houston and was a 1968 graduate of Herringswell Manor Boarding in Suffolk, England. Linda received an Associate's Degree from Angelina College in Lufkin, where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She was a mail room supervisor at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville for several years and spent her remaining years at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as an administrative assistant in the health services division. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her two grandsons. She also enjoyed cooking, reading and traveling. Some of her favorite memories were made in England, France and Spain. Linda is preceded by her father, Alfred Kolb. Survivors include her daughter, Christy Nors and husband Nick of West; two grandsons, Johnathon and William; her mother, Billie Kolb of Crockett; two sisters, Terry Holman and Brenda McClanahan and husband Eric; nephews, Jeremy and Matthew Holman; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.
