Lillie Marie Mynar

Lillie Marie (Kolar) Mynar, age 93, of West, passed away early Sunday evening, November 26, 2017 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. David Trahan as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Lillie was born January 30, 1924 in Abbott, the daughter of William and Mary (Pustejovsky) Kolar. She attended the old Brooken School and was a graduate of Abbott High School. On November 11, 1947 she was united in marriage to John J. Mynar Sr. in West. John preceded her in death on April 22, 1989. Lillie received her registered nursing degree from Providence School of Nursing and worked at the Providence Surgery Department and West Community Hospital. She also farmed with her husband and took loving care of her family. She was a faithful and lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Lillie was also a member of the SPJST Lodge #54 in West, KJZT St. Ludmila Society #11, Catholic Daughter of America Court #829 and the Ladies Altar Society. Lillie enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, canning and making chicken noodle soup. She especially loved to bake cinnamon rolls and cream cheese kolaches. Lillie is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vitus, Wesley, Bennie and Elo Kolar; and a sister, Bernadette Dooley. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Neckar and husband Jim; sons, Johnny Mynar Jr and wife Cheryl, William Mynar and wife Carolyn, Danny Mynar and wife Mary, George Mynar and wife Mary Lou, Joe Mynar and wife Lisa and Anthony Mynar and wife Lisa; sisters, Mary Ann Cocek and Catherine Vanek and husband Daniel; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Kolar, Lillie Hromadka, Willie Mae Cervenka, Agnes Atkins and Josephine Smith; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Johnny Mynar III, Jimmy Neckar, Teddy Mynar, Alvin Mynar, Aaron Mynar and Matt Mynar. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund.
