Lillian (Petter) Bacak, age 82, of Ennis, passed away late Wednesday evening, April 20, 2016 at her residence. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Lillian was born February 9, 1934 in McLennan County, the daughter of William and Annie (Svacina) Petter. She attended schools in Abbott and Penelope. On April 27, 1957, she was united in marriage to William V. Bacak in Penelope. William preceded her in death on September 2, 1974. Lillian worked as a store manager for Hilltop Grocery in Cedar Hill. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Ennis. Lillian was also a member of the KJZT Society #108 in Dallas. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, fishing and especially loved spending time with her family and friends and taking care of her grandchildren. Lillian is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Stephanie Jacobs; and sisters, Doris Hutyra and Sophie Petter. Survivors include her children, Diana Zett and husband Jimmy of Palmer, Theresa Novy and husband Dale of Ennis, Karen Nors and husband Richard of West and Kelvin Bacak and wife Anne of Palmer; sisters, Angeline Sinkule and husband Bill and Kathy Pustejovsky and husband Billy; brothers, Bill Petter and wife Mildred, Ben Petter and Thomas Petter and wife Jeanette; grandchildren, Zachary Zett and wife Brittany, Christopher Bacak and wife Deborah, Brittany Novy, Matthew Zett and wife Erin, John Jacobs, Brandi Novy and fianc Jake Rice, Brandon Novy and wife Ali, Amanda Ibarra and husband Frank, Nathan Nors and Nicole Nors; great grandchildren, Noah, Nolan, Ollie and Lilly; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Zachary Zett, Matthew Zett, Christopher Bacak, Brandon Novy, John Jacobs and Nathan Nors. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Rice, Michael McLean and Frank Ibarra.
