Leta M. Thompson

Leta M. Thompson, age 65, of Gholson, passed away Friday afternoon, September 7, 2018 at her residence. A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Leta was born June 15, 1953 in Waco, the daughter of Wanda (Connally) and the late Neill Black. She was a graduate of Lorena High School. In 2000 she was united in marriage to Ed in Waco. Leta was a member of First Baptist Church of Gholson. She held multiple jobs until retiring in 2008 when she worked as a homemaker and owned a tack business with her husband. Leta enjoyed arts and crafts, fishing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Greg and Steven; sisters, Marsha, Shelly and Teresa; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Latham Springs Camp and Retreat Center.
