Les Billings

Leslie Doyle "Les" Billings, age 82, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco with loved ones by his side.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek officiating.

Les was born June 1, 1941 in San Marcos, the son of William and Irene (Covey) Billings. On June 7, 1976 he was united in marriage to Patricia Young in Waco. Patricia preceded him in death on January 17, 2023. Les was a jack of all trades kind of  guy and was self employed. He did everything from roofing, tree work, lawn care, junking, to working on small engines. Les was always a hard worker, working right up until the end of 2023, when he became unable to do so. Les enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, scratching lottery tickets, and most of all, taking care of his wife, until her passing.

Les is also preceded in death by his parents; his step mother, Eunice Billings; a brother, William Billings Jr.; and sisters, Texana Billings and Betty Ann Glover.

Survivors include his children, Sherry Nanyes, Charlie Billings, Paul Billings and wife Victoria, Rita Billings, Michael Johnson and wife Holly, Kelly Johnson and wife Charlotte, and J.T. Smith; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, ClairRene Walker, Jane Gribble, and Marylon Williams; a sister-in-law, Ann Billings; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association or Providence Hospice.
