Mrs. C.C. (Laura) Fry, age 89, of West, passed away early Friday afternoon, September 12, 2008 at Regent Care in Woodway. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Laura was born September 21, 1918 in Hunt County, the daughter and last surviving child of William M. and Beula (Crain) Bradshaw. She attended schools in Cumby and was a 1936 graduate of Cumby High School. On August 22, 1936 she was united in marriage to Clyde C. Fry in Hunt County. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1995. Laura was a homemaker and mother. She also was a seamstress for several clothing companies, including the Downtown Waco Garment Factory, Wood Mfg., and the Lorch Company in West. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Charlotte Hosie; three grandchildren, Drew Hosie, Denise Hosie, and Janet K. Long; two brothers, W. Kenneth Bradshaw and Ruel Bradshaw; and four sisters, Elva Barton, Beula Swendle, Jo Riddle, and Jessie Raper. Survivors include a son, John L. Fry and wife Marilyn Cox of Keller; a daughter, Judy Long of Speegleville; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tokio Baptist Church.
