Laura Dean Howard

Laura Dean Howard, age 59, of Burleson, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 23, 2014 at the Hospice House Community in Burleson. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Gholson, with Rev. James Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Laura was born August 1, 1955 in Waco, the daughter of Johnnie A. and Iris (Goldsmith) Faglie. She attended schools in West and graduated from Burleson High School. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in West. Laura is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Corky Howard of Burleson; a daughter, Brandie Howard of Burleson; her uncles, Marvin Goldsmith and wife Naida and Otis Goldsmith and wife June; her cousins, Debbie Donohue, Linda Cassidy and husband Graham, Cindy Charanza and husband Johnny, Janice Wilcox, Jimmie Wilcox and Donna Vanek; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Joey Charanza, Scott Sparks, Chad Derden, Glenn Spradling, Buddy Spradling and David Stripling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA.
